Frequently Asked Questions
How is the procedure carried out?
A minimum of 24 hours prior to the treatment start, a pigment patch test is required. It is performed by placing a tiny amount of pigment into the skin. This needs to be performed to make sure there is no allergy to the pigment. On the day of the permanent makeup treatment we will discuss in detail your expectations and will make sure that new look created is exactly what you desire. Crucial to the procedure is the follow up appointment carried out 4-6 weeks later to perfect and retouch.
What should I do to prepare for my procedure?
There is no special preparation required. Although leaving your eyebrows alone for a week (no tweezing, waxing or otherwise removing the hair) would be recommended.
Does the process of Permanent Makeup hurt?
The most important for me is that you are comfortable during the procedure although there is some discomfort associated with it. A topical anaesthetic can be applied before the treatment. Most of my clients describe the feeling as slight scratchy sensation or they say it is similar to getting their brows threaded.
How I will look straight after the treatment and how long it does take to heal?
Straight after the treatment there may be some redness to the treatment area which will dissipate soon afterwards. With eye liner and lip procedures you may experience swelling as the skin is very thin and sensitive in these areas. This will only last a day or two. Your eyebrows will appear darker initially which will fade with the next 5-10 days.
Healing time varies from person to person and mainly depends on your skin sensitivity. Usually it takes about a week to 10 days for the skin to form and peel off. Then the pigment needs some time to settle into the skin. At least 4 weeks needs to pass before we consider our retouch appointment.
Why I should choose you to do my Permanent Makeup?
My aim is to listen to the client’s desires and expectations and get the most natural look, so no one can know you are wearing the Permanent Make Up. I never rush and my priority is to achieve the best possible results and to do this I always allow plenty of time to complete the treatment.

How long will my Permanent Make Up last for?
Because everyone is different, pigment fades due to the natural exfoliation of the skin. It can last anywhere from 1-5 years depending on the individual skin regeneration. Retouch appointment after a year is recommended to refresh the design, keep the colour fresh and the strokes crisp. Overall the Permanent Makeup will last as long it is maintained.

How is colour chosen for my eyebrows, lips or eyeliner?
Your colour is chosen taking into consideration your skin tone and hair colour to get the perfect match for you. This is also discussed and confirmed before we go ahead with the permanent makeup process.

How do I take care of my permanent makeup?
Making sure that treated skin is dry and clean, which means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting the area wet, no tanning or prolonged sun exposure, no scratching, or peeling tattoo at least for 10 days after the treatment. You will need to apply the cream every 3-4 hours (cream will be provided for you as well as detailed guidelines regarding after care). Ones they are healed up you can treat them normally.

How long does the procedure take?
It takes roughly 2.5 hours, sometimes it may be more sometimes less, as everyone is different and the treatment is performed very individually. Please allow at least 3 hours for your appointment. It does not take that long, but the Permanent Makeup isn`t something we want to rush.

What if I don’t like it?
If you are new to permanent make up, then the new brows can take a little bit of getting used to. They go through several different stages during the healing process. 6 weeks after the initial appointment, you will be booked for a perfection appointment where we can make any modifications necessary. The treatment isn't complete until you are completely happy with your brows!

Is it a safe procedure?
Yes, it is very safe procedure as the cosmetic tattoo machine is one of the most hygienic available, a small, pen-like device that uses completely disposable parts. All needles, tubes, chambers, caps, casings – anything that comes into contact with clients, are brand new and sealed prior to your treatment. Allergic reactions to the pigments are incredibly rare and a patch test will be requires at least 24 hours before the treatment.

Are the pigments tested on animals?
Absolutely not, all of our colours are vegan, cruelty free, hypo-allergenic.

What is the cancellation policy?
I operate a 48 hour cancellation policy. Should 48 hours notice not be provided to either cancel or reschedule then unfortunately your appointment and deposit will be lost. Deposits are also non-transferable if notice is not given within this time frame.
